Get to Know our Primates
We think our gibbons are pretty great, and we strive to engage our supporters to learn about each of them individually. Every penny from every donation goes directly to the primates. This program provides educational material as it applies to each of them. Pick the primate who relates to you! It's a great way for children to foster a bond with their own primate! A.P.E.S. is a non-profit run completely by Pam White. As the owner and founder of the sanctuary, she strives for A.P.E.S. to be a forever home, a costly endeavor she could not pursue without the help of volunteers and lifelong friends. We hope to be able to show a different side of the primates. Each primate has their own story; come learn about each of them, and we hope you fall as much in love with them as we have. |
|
The fact sheet includes information on your primate’s species and what makes them themselves! The coloring book was made by one of A.P.E.S.' very own volunteers, featuring each of the primates who have lived at the sanctuary. Necklaces are handmade with a picture of your primate (a volunteer favorite). Painting is a favorite enrichment for some of our primates. While we cannot guarantee that your painting will be done by your primate, it will be made specifically for you! Visits are always welcome at A.P.E.S.; while we request an appointment be made, we love giving tours to our supporters.
